Francesco is a second-year PhD student in Data Science at La Sapienza, University of Rome, collaborating with the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on deep learning theory, employing tools from the physics of complex systems. He is particularly interested in multi-scale graph neural networks and the development of a coherent theory of overparameterized models. Francesco holds an M.Sc. with laude in theoretical physics of complex systems from La Sapienza and a postgraduate specialization in Data Science from the University of Florence and IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. During his PhD, he has conducted multiple research stays at the University of Cambridge, supported by the "Mobilità" and "Avvio alla Ricerca" grants. He also completed a six-month internship at Amazon as an Applied Scientist.
