Davide Mascolo began his journey at the University of Salerno with a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics for Big Data, awarded in September 2021. During those years he developed an interest in data analytics that led him to enroll in a Master's Degree in Data Science at Sapienza University of Rome, completing in 2023. He graduated with a research thesis in Bioinformatics, entitled "Multi-Layer Network Modeling of Genomic and Transcriptomic Data to Investigate the Response to Checkpoint Inhibitors in NSCLC", under the supervision of Prof. Manuela Petti.
After his master's degree, he moved to Basel (Switzerland), where he worked as an intern at the pharmaceutical company Roche, as Data Scientist/Bioinformatician for the data analytics department. Since November 2024, he has been attending the PhD program in Data Science. His research activity falls within the field of precision medicine. It is focused on the study of complex and heterogeneous diseases through the use of computational methods and omics data integration.
